Be Like Water

This is powerful. The phenomenon of the "New Media Marketplace" is changing the way we do business all over the globe. No longer are the days of traditional advertising. Think about this, how many people do you know that actually use the Yellow Pages? My point exactly. So with the times are mindsets must change, we must adopt a new way of thinking towards marketing or we will be left behind. Interruption is no longer tolerated by the customer.

Marketing this way is considered to be rude and non participatory. Creative ideas are driving the market at rapid speeds. Mass media consists of one way communication twisted to their point of view. In the "New Media Marketplace", we allow the consumer to feel as though they are apart of the creation.

Communication and participation, these elements bring forth a sense of trust with consumers that is valuable. Now with the networks available to us, it has never been easier to connect with a click. Blogs allow you to build relationships with customers. You must shift over. You must have flexibilty and fluidity, like water. Be able to give the customer what they want, when they want it. If you cannot, someone else will. This is imperative to flow and move where the market is going, find out all you can about this because it is not a trend.

For example, how many people do you know that really watch TV and sit through commercials? Or even on the radio, with the satellite stations people can choose what they want to hear and what they don't? Most people are on the internet more than they watch TV. Ipods also give consumers the ability to make their own radio stations on the go, see where I am going with this? The consumer has demanded back control and the customer is always right.
