Planning a Big Bird party is simple and fun once you get the basics out of the way. Obviously a terrific color palate for a Big Bird Party is bright yellow. Pre-printed plates, cups, balloons and napkins are available at many discount or party stores. However, if you are looking to save a couple of bucks, head to your local dollar or party outlet store to purchase plain bright yellow plates, napkins, plasticware and balloons.

Everyone knows Big Bird doesnt sit alone, so invite some of his friends from Sesame Street to come to the Big Bird Party. Dont just stick to Big Bird when decorating for the Big Bird party, throw in some pictures or stuffed animals of his friends like Elmo, Zoe and Cookie Monster. This will make decorating easy since you will have many options for decorations.

While you can purchase a pre-made Big Bird cake for at a local bakery for the Big Bird Party, you can also make a cake at home. Make your childs favorite cake and decorate it just for the party. Take white or cream cheese icing and add some yellow food coloring before you ice the cake. That yellow frosting will be the crowning touch to your childs birthday cake. Use Sesame Street figurines or cut outs to decorate on or around the cake to add that special Sesame Street flavor.
