Email Marketing - How to Organize Your Email Campaign I

The first thing that you need to do is when you begin to organize your email campaign is to ask yourself what it is you want to accomplish with your email campaign. What is your purpose?
You have to have a purpose. When you are first getting started, your purpose might just be to build a list. But why build a list? A list in and of itself is valueless it is what you do with that list that creates value. Are you non-profit and want to use the list to educate about your favorite cause? Perhaps you are using your list to spread awareness about a particular disease or charity. Perhaps your goal is to sell books or cds or videos. Perhaps your goal is to sell the new product you have recently created.
But whatever your purpose, your goal, you must know what that goal is, you must know what that purpose is.
Keep this in mind: every email you write either draws you closer to achieving your goals or purpose, or it detracts from it.
If you are a non-profit and you are spreading awareness make sure you are doing just that. Spread awareness. If you choose to sell something to that list, dont do it to make a profit on that list do it to donate funds to the cause.
If your purpose is to sell your $10 or your $100 book everything you do should lead to people buying that book. Now, that doesnt mean that every email is a sales letter quite the contrary. But every email should be building a rapport that will get you closer to selling your book or books.
