Head to the Swamp for a Shrek Party!

Shrek is the colorful main character in the Shrek movies, and a Shrek party makes for a wonderful afternoon for a boy or a girl. Now that Shrek has come out with his third movie, Shrek the Third, Shrek parties are more popular than ever!

A Shrek party is great for any child who loves the Shrek movies. Pre-made invitations may be purchased at any dollar, discount or party outlets supply store. If the party is being thrown on a budget make invitations at home using a mossy green cardstock and attaching Shrek stickers to one side. Write or print the party information on the other side and the guests will be excited to attend the Shrek party.

Not only can pre-made invitations be purchased for a Shrek party but matching plates, cups and napkins are available as well. Again, these too can be skipped by just purchasing green plates and cups.

A terrific food dish for a Shrek party would be dirt cake. Since Shrek lives in the swamp he is known for eating disgusting things. While dirt cake may look like a pail of dirt with worms moving through it really is delicious.

And dont forget to include Shreks sidekicks Donkey and Puss in Boots at the Shrek Party. Their comical antics keep Shrek in good spirits. Pictures of Donkey, Puss in Boots and Shrek can be placed throughout the room in which the party is being held. Even a game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey would be appropriate for a Shrek party.
