In Part 1 of "Internet Marketing Steps to Success" I told you that promoting a product that is already selling like crazy will greatly help you to put together a successful Internet Marketing campaign. There is another way to greatly increase your chances for success and that is to find a hungry crowd, find out what they are hungry for and give it to them.
Find a group of people who have a problem but are having trouble finding a solution to that problem. Once you find a group like that go about offering them the solution. This takes some research but once you do it a few times it gets easier.
The best place to look for such groups is in discussion forums. This is also where you will do some of your research for highly targeted keywords. More on that later.
Right now you want to focus on people and what they want or need. One example would be new moms. These women are passionate about their babies and their new role as mother.
What do new moms need or want? What problems do new moms face?
There are so many directions you could go with this one example, it could keep you busy for years.
Once you find a specific problem or issue to focus on you will want to familiarize yourself with the type of person you'll be targeting. Put yourself in their shoes. Once you get the hang of this it will become an automatic and natural part of starting a new Internet Marketing campaign.
If you take the time to do proper research you will avoid a lot of costly mistakes in time and money.
In part 3 I will explain how to get first page rankings in the search engines for your keywords and what kind of keywords make the task a lot easier.
