Multiple Streams Of Income - Don’t Put Your Eggs All In One Basket

Having marketed online since 1991, I have learned nothing is certain. What I mean by this is regardless of what you're selling online things change and that change could put you out of business if you don't have multiple streams of income. If you put all your eggs in one basket and don't diversify you are asking for trouble.

In the late 90's, I had one of the tops websites for a diet plan. People were buying my product like crazy then all of a sudden stopped. Why? Well, for one thing the diet was going out and second, the one I was in was being replaced with another diet system of the same recipes. My income went from several hundred a day or more to almost nothing. Here is the bad part, I had put all my time and effort into one thing, this website and plan. What a let down when the bottom fell out.

Now, I'm not telling you to jump around from one thing to another, if you do that I guarantee failure in your internet business. Focus on one thing and get it done and then move on to the next. Once you find a system that works... repeat it over and over. What you need are multiple streams of income, not just income from one source. Again, don't put your eggs all in one basket because if you do, it may come back to haunt you.

Once you have your sites set up and are producing multiple incomes then promote them by writing articles and etc. Also, cross promote between your own products. You can also write a viral report or e-book and have your websites listed in it. Once you have your multiple income streams, you have more people to do joint ventures with too. Don't fall in love with just one income producing product, promote them all equally. Make a daily plan and have activities to do each day that will bring more visitors to your website and bring more subscribers to your mailing lists.

Decide to spend some time on promoting your sites and spend some time making your plan for the week. You have a lot to do:

Write Ezine Articles
Create Viral Reports
Build An Affiliate Program
Test and Test Some More-Test your headline, price and web page.
Add to Follow-Up Messages in your auto responder.
If you have a digital product you may want to make it a physical product.
Buy Pay-Per-Clicks Search Engine Listings
Exchange Links With PR6 Sites or Higher.
Post on Relative Forums For Your Products.

Now, you don't only have to do the above for your one site but do it for every site that you have...every product that you are selling and that is producing you an income, regardless, of how small that income might be. And, remember to add new products and sites as you can, it's a never ending process. Would you rather have $10,000.00 from one site or $1,000.00 from ten sites. My answer would be the latter.
